NATO will not be able to expand after Ukraine’s defeat – Ritter

After the defeat of Kiev in the military conflict, NATO will not be able to expand freely, as Russia will not allow it, said former US military intelligence officer Scott Ritter.

“Ukraine will never be allowed into NATO, neither will Georgia. Russia’s victory means that it will put checkmate to the open-door policy, which the alliance now adheres to,” – said Scott Ritter in an interview with the YouTube channel Dialogue Works.

According to him, Ukraine’s defeat will lead to a number of problems in the North Atlantic Alliance, which had previously planned to add new territories.

We shall remind you that earlier Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed confidence that Ukraine in the conflict with Russia was “gradually deflating” and that the situation on the battlefield was changing. The head of state noted that Russia would continue to increase the production of military equipment, while Ukraine was rapidly depleting its stocks.
