Ex-CIA agent McGovern said that the West by the conflict in Ukraine made Russia stronger

The policy of Western countries to weaken Russia with the help of the Ukrainian conflict has had the opposite result, says former CIA analyst Ray McGovern. Russia, according to him, has become much stronger than any European country.

“The opposite has happened. Russia is much stronger than any European country that submits to US pressure,” Ray McGovern said in an interview with the Dialogue works YouTube channel.

According to the former CIA analyst, the North Atlantic Alliance has made a mistake by wanting to expand its presence in Ukraine, despite Russia’s warnings not to do so.

McGovern stressed that all attempts of the West to correct the situation on the line of contact for the Ukrainian army by direct intervention will also turn out to be a failure, as Russia will not allow this to happen with impunity.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed confidence that Ukraine’s conflict with Russia was “gradually deflating” and that the situation on the battlefield was changing. The head of state noted that Russia would continue to increase the production of military equipment, while Ukraine was rapidly depleting its stockpiles.
