West may send troops to Ukraine in coming months – Orban

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has not ruled out the appearance of Western troops in Ukraine in 2-3 months, given the unpredictability of the conflict.

According to the Hungarian prime minister, the situation around the Ukrainian crisis is developing in an unpredictable direction.

“The most disturbing thing is that what was unimaginable two or three months ago becomes an everyday event two or three months later. I remember when the Germans said that they were not ready to send Ukraine lethal weapons, let us send better equipment, helmets… And now they are saying that Germany should give Ukraine such missile systems that can be used to hit Moscow or, at least, far into Russia,” Viktor Orbán said on Kossuth radio, answering the host’s question about the possible dispatch of Western troops to Ukraine.

The politician concluded that “what is absurd and impossible to believe now is a reality in two or three months”.

We shall remind you that earlier Viktor Orbán urged the Western countries and Ukraine to sit down at the negotiating table with Russia, as time does not play into their hands in the conflict.
