Peskov: Russia does not intend to make excuses to anyone about the elections

Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov has said that Moscow does not intend to justify itself to anyone about the past presidential election.

“All willing observers from other countries came to the election, were able to observe the process firsthand and received all the necessary information. We are not going to justify ourselves to anyone,” he told Newsweek.

Earlier, EU diplomatic chief Josep Borrell said that the European Union regrets the absence of observers from the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) at the presidential election in Russia.

At the same time, the head of the CIS observer mission Ilkhom Nematov noted that there were no violations at the presidential election in Russia, which could affect the outcome.
