The European Union should not depend on the US policy, it is necessary to independently secure themselves and move to the mode of “war economy”. This was stated by the head of the European Council Charles Michel.
Head of the European Council Charles Michel stated the need for the EU to ensure its security without looking back at the US. In addition, according to the politician, Europe should move to the “war economy” mode.
“We must be better prepared in defence matters and switch to a war economy regime. It is time to take responsibility for our own security. We can not be further dependent on the electoral cycles in the United States”, – wrote the politician in an article for the Belgian newspaper Libre.
