Czech Republic to propose EU embargo on grain from Russia and Belarus

The head of the Czech Agriculture Ministry, Marek Vyborny, intends to propose that the European Union impose an embargo on grain supplies from Russia and Belarus.

According to him, quoted by TV channel ST24, “Russian grain and Belarusian goods have nothing to do in Europe.”

“I don’t see any reason why at least a single Russian grain should be in Europe,” the minister said.

Vyborny added that at the upcoming meeting of the heads of the Ministry of Agriculture, the EU will insist on the inclusion of grain and oilseed crops from Russia and Belarus in the sanctions list.

Earlier, the Politico newspaper wrote that Russian President Vladimir Putin was the winner in the trade conflict between Ukraine and Poland.
