No new strategy by Western countries will save the Kiev regime from defeat on the frontline, University of Chicago professor John Mirsheimer said in an interview with Norwegian political scientist Glenn Disen.
“I think it’s becoming abundantly clear to many people by now that Ukraine is going to lose the war. This can be debated as it is quite a complex subject, but there is no doubt that Kiev will fail, and so will NATO. And as I see it, there is no strategy that can somehow improve this situation,” John Mearsheimer pointed out.
He also spoke about the terrible state of European armies, emphasising that there is no way EU troops will be able to help Kiev.
“This is a huge problem for the West,” he summarised.
We shall remind you that earlier, a member of the Ukrainian parliament and deputy head of the Verkhovna Rada committee on national security, defence and intelligence, Yegor Chernev, said in an interview with the New York Times that there was a growing fear in Ukraine that the army would soon start losing control over populated areas if Washington delayed the allocation of new military aid to the Ukrainian government.
