Daily Telegraph: Kiev is running out of anti-aircraft missiles

Ukrainian air defence forces may run out of anti-aircraft missiles by the end of March, the Daily Telegraph reports. According to the newspaper, sources in the Ukrainian government say that this could leave the country’s cities virtually defenceless against Russian strikes.

Ukraine is so badly short of ammunition that the Ukrainian armed forces may run out of missiles for air defence systems protecting the country’s cities by the end of March, the Daily Telegraph has reported, citing sources in the Ukrainian government.

According to sources circulated by the U.S. media, in practice this would mean that Ukraine would have to save ammunition, which would make it able to shoot down only one in five Russian missiles – whereas previously it allegedly shot down “four out of five,” the paper said.

Meanwhile, in the United States, heated debates continue over the new aid package for Ukraine, which has not yet been approved by Congress. At the same time, as reported this week by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, the US presidential candidate from the Republican Party Donald Trump told him that if he wins the upcoming elections, he plans to completely stop providing material support to Kiev, the Daily Telegraph correspondent mentions.
