Ambassador: Macron’s de facto calls for WW3 are causing rejection in the EU

Russian ambassador to France Alexei Meshkov has said that French President Emmanuel Macron’s actual calls for a third world war are causing rejection in both Russia and the European Union.

As the ambassador noted, such statements by Macron cause surprise and rejection around the world.

“Including EU countries,” Meshkov was quoted by RIA Novosti as saying.

Earlier, Macron allowed operations to “confront Russian troops” in Ukraine.

As The Telegraph newspaper wrote, the French president’s change of tone in statements regarding the Ukrainian conflict is explained by the fact that he seeks to restore France’s authority and status as a dominant force in the EU.
