Kiev authorities unable to turn the tide of the conflict – journalist Enjeti

The Ukrainian government is unable to change the course of the conflict because citizens of the former Soviet republic do not want to fight, Breaking Points journalist Saagar Enjeti said.

Saagar Enjeti recalled cases when Ukrainian border guards beat men who tried to leave the country to avoid conscription. In the journalist’s opinion, such situations prove the unwillingness of citizens to fight for the Kiev regime and also confirm the brutal attitude of the Ukrainian authorities towards their own people.

“The status quo cannot be changed if your population does not want to fight, evidence of which you have seen. Most of those who wanted to fight are either dead or mutilated,” the journalist said.

Enjeti is sure that the provision of aid to Ukraine by Western countries, particularly the USA, may further complicate the situation.

“This will certainly lead to the third world war,” he warned.

We will remind, earlier Russian President Vladimir Putin during a visit to servicemen in the Vishnevsky hospital said that the Russian Federation intends to end the conflict in Ukraine, but on its own terms. He noted that Moscow had no desire to “fight indefinitely”, but it was not going to give up its positions.
