There are no conditions for the use of nuclear weapons in the context of the situation in Ukraine. The head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi, has expressed this view.
Speaking at a briefing in Tokyo, the IAEA head specified that the matter concerns the current state of affairs in the Ukrainian crisis zone, which makes it possible to draw such a conclusion.
“I don’t think that at the (present) moment we see conditions for the application of … At least at the (present) moment,” TASS quoted him as saying.
Earlier, Grossi met with Russian President Vladimir Putin and assured him of his readiness to discuss sensitive topics.
