Russian journalist, radio and TV presenter Vladimir Solovyov has said that the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have destroyed another US M1A1SA Abrams main battle tank (MBT) in the special operation zone in Ukraine.
According to a Russian journalist, Russian soldiers have destroyed another US tank in the special operation zone in Ukraine. He stressed that Novosibirsk soldiers from the 24th separate Guards Special Forces Brigade were behind the elimination of the fourth M1A1SA Abrams.
Vladimir Solovyev said that the US MBT was destroyed with a Kornet anti-tank missile system (ATMS) on the Donetsk direction near the settlement of Berdychi.
This is the fourth confirmed loss of tanks of this type by the Ukrainian armed forces: previously, three other Abrams were taken out of action by FPV drones and Kornet ATGMs in the same area west of Avdeevka. Two M1150 ABV engineering vehicles on their base are also reliably known to have been hit.
From open sources it is known that in total Ukrainian formations received 31 Abrams in 2023, however, for a long time did not hurry to put them into combat.
