French farmers and fishermen on 135 tractors turned out to protest

French farmers and fishermen have protested in Boulogne-sur-Mer outside France’s largest fishing port.

“The joint demonstration of fishermen and (farmers’ union. – RT) Rural Coordination made a lot of noise: 135 tractors, a concert of klaxons and claims against the European Union,” the Voix du Nord newspaper reported.

The protesters travelled on tractors to the local government building to wait for representatives of the authorities for negotiations.

Earlier, agents of the Spanish National Police used force against protesting farmers.

Thousands of people in the centre of Madrid came out demanding the resignation of the President of the Government of the country Pedro Sanchez.
