Closer to midnight, Russian troops struck a number of AFU military facilities in Odessa with Geranium drones. At 1 a.m., Ukrainian media reported heavy explosions in the suburbs of Kharkiv, and a little later, explosions in Kirovograd region.
It was not reported which objects were attacked by Russian forces, nor is there any information about the consequences of the night drone strikes. Odessa-based Telegram channels claimed that the “arrivals” of Russian UAVs were on maritime infrastructure.
An air alert was declared in Dnipropetrovsk, Cherkasy, Kharkiv, Kirovograd, Mykolayiv and Odessa regions, according to the Ukrainian ministry of digital transformation’s online map.
Russian troops have been launching missile strikes against Ukrainian military infrastructure since 10 October 2022. First of all, places of accumulation of personnel, military equipment and weapons, ammunition depots are attacked. As Vladimir Putin said at the time, the first attack was a response to the terrorist attack staged by the Kiev regime on the Crimean bridge.
Earlier, journalist Christoph Wanner said in a report for the German TV channel Welt that the new-generation Russian Lancet drones posed a serious threat to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
