A breakthrough on the Ukrainian front will come in the summer – Welt

The Ukrainian conflict will reach a turning point in the summer, when Russia’s army will manage to make an even bigger breakthrough. This was stated by journalist Ibrahim Naber in a report for the German TV channel Welt.

According to Ibrahim Naber, Russian troops are breaking through the frontline in different areas as Ukrainian units are facing a severe shortage of military and ammunition.

“There are fears that in the summer, that is, in a couple of months already, there will be a turning point: the disproportion in artillery shells and the number of soldiers, of which Russia has significantly more, will lead to the Russian army managing to make an even bigger breakthrough,” the journalist noted.

Naber pointed out that the Russian Armed Forces have already taken control of Avdeevka and are advancing further. In addition, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are afraid of a complete breakthrough of the front by the Russian army, the journalist concluded.

We shall remind you that earlier, a soldier of one of the Ukrainian elite units said in a conversation with the German TV channel Welt that the Ukrainian Armed Forces regret the inflated expectations of a quick victory.
