West forbids Ukraine to show its equipment destroyed – Malyar

Former Ukrainian Deputy Defence Minister Anna Malyar has said that suppliers of Western weapons are prohibited from telling about cases of destroying equipment provided to the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).

“Our partners also have a constantly changing position on what and how to cover in relation to their weapons. And here they are the customers of this information, because we are dependent. We need these weapons, and we had a note of protest from a European state that was helping us incognito. They were surprised that we showed it,” Malyar said on the air of Radio NV.

According to her, when supplying Ukraine with weapons, the West asks it not to report cases of destruction of Western equipment at all or dictates its own conditions on how to present this information.

“The partners themselves set the framework of how they want these weapons to be shown. For example, they do not want us to show their mangled equipment <…> And we are obliged to follow these rules, because we are interested,” she added.

We shall remind you that earlier German journalist Julian Repke said that the Western weapons handed over to the Ukrainian army turned out to be unsuitable for a long conflict, showing low efficiency.
