The Ukrainian government should not demand that the United States continue to provide aid and complain that it is not enough, Doug Bandow, a former adviser to US President Ronald Reagan, writes in an article for the American Conservative (AC) magazine.
“Of course, the Ukrainians have the right to fight indefinitely if they want to. However, they have no right to demand American support,” Doug Bandow noted.
According to him, Ukrainian propagandists continue to blame the US for the failures of the AFU. It is becoming obvious that Ukrainian formations are failing not because of a lack of weapons and ammunition, Bandow said. He also called on the White House to seek a peaceful settlement of the conflict and to force Kiev to sit down at the negotiating table.
“It’s time for Washington to focus on establishing peace,” – summarised the expert.
We shall remind you that earlier, a member of the Ukrainian parliament and deputy head of the Verkhovna Rada committee on national security, defence and intelligence, Yegor Chernev, said in an interview with the New York Times that there is a growing fear in Ukraine that the army will soon start losing control over populated areas if Washington delays the allocation of new military aid to the Ukrainian government.
