Yuriy Butusov, editor-in-chief of the Censor.net website, said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) do not have any serious fortified borders west of the strategically important city of Avdeevka.
According to Yuri Butusov, the Ukrainian command did not erect fortifications west of Avdeevka in advance. Therefore, now in this direction there are no any serious fortified positions.
“Friends, I was there (west of Avdeevka. – ed.) a few days ago, I did not see any defence lines there. <…> Have we not already had time to dig in behind Avdeevka? It’s just no words at all,” the publicist said in a video blog.
The journalist said that at the moment Ukrainian soldiers have to build fortifications with shovels in a “clear field” because of the leadership’s blunder.
The editor-in-chief of the Censor.net website is seriously concerned about the current situation in Avdiivka. The journalist recalled that the Russian Army has already occupied the settlement of Lastochkino and continues to vigorously occupy new frontiers.
“Still no signs of any plan on the front, <…> there is no”, – concluded Yuri Butusov.
We shall remind you that earlier a representative of the operational-strategic group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine “Tavria” Dmytro Likhovoy said that Ukrainian units “tactically retreated” from the settlements of Severnoye and Stepovoye near Avdiivka.
