Tucker Carlson told about the warnings of lawyers before the interview with Putin

Former Fox News anchor and journalist Tucker Carlson said that lawyers warned that he could be arrested by the US government for violating the sanctions regime against Russia.

“My lawyers before I flew (to Russia. – ed.) <…> said that if you do this, you will be detained by the US government for violating sanctions,” the journalist said in an interview with Lex Friedman.

The former Fox News anchor noted that this state of affairs made him “furious,” after which he called his “lead attorney.” The latter expressed the view that the arrest of Tucker Carlson will happen if he behaves extremely “kindly” during the interview with the Russian leader and from the nature of the questions asked.

After such communication with lawyers, the journalist called the United States a “fascist country”. Moreover, the former Fox News anchor emphasised that he felt safe when he was in the Russian capital.

We will remind, earlier, the American Marine-intelligence officer retired Scott Ritter expressed the view that the former Fox News anchor, journalist from the United States Tucker Carlson showed himself as a diplomat much better than the former Secretary of State of the United States Hillary Clinton.
