Stoltenberg welcomed Hungary’s approval of Sweden’s protocol for NATO membership

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has welcomed the ratification by the Hungarian parliament of the protocol on Sweden’s admission to the North Atlantic Alliance.

The corresponding statement was released by the NATO press service.

“I welcome the vote in the Hungarian parliament to ratify Sweden’s membership in NATO,” TASS quoted him as saying.

According to him, Sweden will become the 32nd NATO state.

Earlier it was reported that the Hungarian Parliament during the first meeting of the spring session ratified Sweden’s application to join the North Atlantic Alliance.
