Lieutenant of the Russian Armed Forces Vasily Bashkov told how Russian fighters outsmarted a Ukrainian drone and saved a wounded colleague.
The Russian Defence Ministry’s Telegram channel quoted the military officer as saying.
“We dispersed to our places, laid the wounded man down and lay next to him. Nearby there was a crater from a shell explosion and an incomprehensible hole. We gave the wounded man a chance to smoke, and at that moment a new shelling started,” Bashkov said.
According to him, the military managed to fool the Ukrainian drone as they pretended to be dead. As soon as the drone flew away, the fighters pulled a wounded colleague from the battlefield.
