Germany’s total spending on support for Kiev has so far totalled about €32bn, the Federal Government of Germany said.
The German authorities emphasised that they would support Ukraine as long as necessary.
“Germany has provided Ukraine with around €32bn in assistance in the form of humanitarian aid, direct funding and weapons,” RIA Novosti quoted the statement as saying.
Earlier, European Commission head Ursula von der Leyen said that the first €4.5bn of the new aid programme would be transferred to Kiev in March.
