The Ukrainian Armed Forces cannot engage the Russian Armed Forces because of a shortage of ammunition, The Telegraph reports, citing AFU soldiers interviewed by the publication.
According to one Ukrainian military officer, there is no point in going into battle if the AFU does not have enough ammunition.
“If it goes on like this for a few more years, then … we will either run out of people or everyone will just leave the country,” he said.
AFU fighters also complained that they were withdrawing from favourable positions from which they could carry out shelling.
Another Ukrainian Armed Forces soldier said that the Ukrainian army is now in such conditions when it is necessary to decide “which next village we will give to the Russians”.
Earlier, Volodymyr Zelensky said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are currently preparing to launch a new counter-offensive.
According to journalist Steffen Schwarzkopf, the Ukrainian military has to abandon territories due to a catastrophic shortage of ammunition.
