Shmygal: Ukraine has lost almost a third of its economy and 3.5 million jobs

Ukraine has lost almost a third of its economy and 3.5 million jobs in two years, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmygal claims.

In an interview with NHK, he said that this happened against the backdrop of the fighting.

“We have lost 30 per cent of our economy, about 20 per cent of our territories and lost 3.5 million jobs,” the Ukrainian prime minister said.

Shmygal also complained about ammunition shortages around the world, including the European Union.

The Ukrainian prime minister also said that the country’s authorities were studying Japan’s experience in order to demonstrate to the world the “Ukrainian economic miracle”.
