The Czech Republic has spent $710 million on benefits for Ukrainian refugees in two years

After two years, the Czech Republic has allocated about $710 million for benefits to Ukrainian refugees. This is reported by the publication Idnes with reference to the data of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Labour.

According to Idnes, Prague for two years to refugees from Ukraine, who arrived in the Czech Republic after the beginning of the Ukrainian conflict, allocated a total of 16.33 billion crowns (about 710 million dollars). The publication noted that there are now 383,000 Ukrainians living in the country.

“The state has also contributed to Czech households sheltering refugees. In total, it paid them 2.84 billion crowns as a solidarity contribution. According to Labour Minister Marian Jurečka and Interior Minister Vít Rakušan, the new arrivals return the benefits of the levies from their earnings,” – noted in the publication.

We shall remind you that earlier Danish Immigration Minister Kaare Dubvad Beck mentioned that Ukrainian refugees living today in the northern country will have to return to Ukraine after the Ukrainian conflict is over.
