Russian President Vladimir Putin has linked the hype surrounding his interview with US journalist Tucker Carlson to the desire of people around the world to hear an alternative Western point of view.
He said this in an interview with journalist Pavel Zarubin, who posted a fragment of the conversation on his Telegram account.
“I don’t have an exact answer, but I can assume that this is due to the desire of very many people both in our country and in the world to get an alternative point of view and learn the truth,” the Russian leader said.
Earlier, Putin expressed the opinion that it would be difficult for Western audiences, especially Americans, to understand the historical part of his interview with US journalist Tucker Carlson.
