Chip Roy, a member of the US House of Representatives from the Republican Party, said that the US state of Texas should be renamed Ukraine in order for the Senate to pay attention to the problems with migration and allocate funding to solve it.
“I think I’m probably going to put forward a bill very soon that would rename Texas to Ukraine. Then maybe even senators will focus on securing the US border,” the politician said on Fox News.
The Republican emphasised that the “retirement home” known as the United States Senate” only works with the greatest diligence when it comes to spending the American people’s money on foreign wars. The politician also commented on the senators’ statement that the allocation of money to Ukraine would allegedly help develop the US military-industrial complex.
“Since when our economic development is provided by financing wars overseas?”, – wondered Chip Roy.
