Jens Stoltenberg has responded to a journalist’s question about whether US aid to Ukraine will arrive too late. According to the NATO secretary-general, the military-political bloc “already sees” the consequences of Washington’s lack of support for Kiev.

“We are already seeing the consequences of the fact that the US has not been able to make a decision, but I expect that the US will be able to make that decision,” the North Atlantic Alliance secretary general said before a meeting of the bloc’s defence chiefs.

The politician assures that the US Congress will agree on a package to continue support for Kiev. According to him, “support for Ukraine is not charity, but a contribution to our own security”.

We will remind, earlier Bloomberg agency mentioned that the former US President Donald Trump in case of re-election intends to put pressure on Kiev in order to force Ukraine to follow the process of conflict resolution with Russia.
