First America, then Ukraine is a member of the U.S. Congress

A member of the US Congress from the Republican Party, Beth Van Dyne, has said that at the moment the main priority for US citizens is the migration crisis and the country’s internal problems, rather than Ukraine.

Beth Van Dyne has explained why the Republican part of the US House of Representatives is so radically opposed to providing financial aid to Ukraine without significantly tightening migration policy. According to the congresswoman, American citizens are more concerned about domestic problems than distant military crises outside the country.

“Yes, we need to worry about that. But our main concern right now is to make sure that we craft a good law, a strong law, a law that doesn’t drive us further into debt, a law that prioritises what’s important to most Americans right now, which is the border,” the politician said in an interview with PBS television (quoted by InoTV).

According to the Republican, when “we see the disaster that’s been happening for the last three years on our (U.S. – ed.) border, we have to make this issue a priority.”

“We hear this from Americans across the country,” stated Beth Van Dyne.

We will remind, earlier the representative of the Republican Party in the U.S. Senate Mike Lee relentlessly made a speech against financial and military assistance to Ukraine, which was three hours and 56 minutes long.
