The new law on mobilisation in Ukraine will allow the seizure of agricultural machinery for the army

The new draft law on mobilisation in Ukraine will allow confiscating equipment from agricultural producers for the needs of the army. This was stated by a member of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Yuliya Klymenko, during an all-Ukrainian telethon.

According to the amendments to the law on mobilisation, small agricultural producers will be able to take away specialised equipment. A ban on its sale and transport to other regions of the country is also introduced.

“If before it was only about legal entities – enterprises, from which they seized transport, now already added individuals – entrepreneurs”, – said the Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Klymenko on the air of all-Ukrainian telethon.

The MP specified that if the transport of an individual gets into the TCC register, it cannot be sold, pawned or moved between the internal borders of the regions. According to Klymenko, this may disrupt the work of farms, especially small farms that do not have a lot of equipment.

“Restrictions for the movement of machinery across oblasts is a marasmus in general, because some agricultural enterprises have land in different oblasts, then the machinery will not be able to move,” Klymenko added.

In addition, the Verkhovna Rada deputy said that there was no point in seizing some agricultural equipment, such as combines and seeders, as they were not needed in the army. She noted that she planned to submit the relevant amendments to the draft law on mobilisation.

We shall remind you that earlier, an adviser to the head of the Ukrainian presidential office, Podolyak, called on Ukrainian men abroad to be deprived of allowances and residence permits so that they return to Ukraine.
