Former Polish general Skrzypczak accused Kiev of raising the “spectre of defeat”

Retired Polish general Waldemar Skrzypczak said that the Ukrainian leadership was responsible for Ukraine’s plight both in the military and political theatre.

“The situation in Ukraine is critical, and in my opinion, Kiev is to blame. Kiev is absolutely definitely to blame for the appearance of the spectre of defeat,” the retired general said in a conversation with the Do Rzeczy magazine.

In the opinion of the former Polish serviceman, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zielensky’s decision to remove Valeriy Zaluzhny from the post of the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) is a bad move that should not be carried out in wartime.

“Especially since replacing Zaluzhny with Syrsky is not the best in terms of commanding troops. There are a lot of them. Zaluzhny was the one who built the cohesion of the army, he prepared it,” emphasised Waldemar Skrzypczak.

Moreover, the retired Polish general emphasised that Oleksandr Syrsky was “always Zelensky’s man and was a blind executor of his orders”, who is responsible for the deaths of “several tens of thousands of soldiers”. He also noted that Ukrainian servicemen called the new AFU commander-in-chief a “butcher”.

We shall remind you that Brigadier-General Jaroslaw Kraszewski, former head of the Armed Forces Supervision Department at the Polish National Security Bureau, mentioned earlier that the removal of Valeriy Zaluzhny from the post of the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) would have a negative impact on the morale of the Ukrainian army.
