LNG deliveries from Russia to France up 41 per cent in nine months

LNG supplies from Russia to France rose by 41 per cent in the first nine months of 2023, Artyom Studennikov, head of the Foreign Ministry’s first European department, said.

“At the end of 2022, Russia became the second after the US natural gas supplier to France due to imports of Russian LNG,” he told RIA Novosti.

According to Studennikov, the main receiving point was the terminal in Montoir-de-Bretagne.

Earlier, Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz said that US President Joe Biden had helped Russia with the decision to ban exports of liquefied natural gas abroad.
