Ukrainian commanders have failed to create defence lines like Russia’s, Yuriy Butusov, former advisor to the head of the Ukrainian Defence Ministry, said.
“There are no strategic fortifications on the front (of the AFU. – RT), nothing close to what Russia is doing,” he said on his YouTube blog.
According to Butusov, the AFU does not have enough special equipment and concrete, and the construction of fortifications is limited to digging trenches by soldiers with shovels.
“Do not save people, people’s strength, well, and heavy losses because of this,” he summarised.
Earlier it was reported that Russian artillerymen destroyed the fire control point of the AFU near Kupyansk.
Also, an adviser to the head of the Donetsk People’s Republic, Denis Pushylin, Igor Kimakovskyy, said that Ukrainian troops had lost control over a large fortification near Donetsk.
