Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has said that former US President Ronald Reagan would “turn over in his grave” if he learnt the Republicans’ position on Ukraine’s financing.
According to Donald Tusk, Ronald Reagan “would have turned over in his grave” because of the refusal of Republican senators to support aid to Ukraine.
Earlier, a bill providing for a compromise on additional funding that would have combined border protection, aid to Ukraine and Israel was blocked by the US Senate.
“Dear Republican Senators of America. Ronald Reagan, who helped millions of us regain our freedom and independence, today, would be rolling over in his coffin. Shame on you,” Tusk wrote on the social network X (former Twitter).
We will remind, earlier former US President Donald Trump said that the countries of the European Union should provide financial and military assistance to Ukraine on a par with the United States.
