Poland has put fighter jets in the air amid Ukraine air alert

The Polish Operational Command said it has put fighter jets in the air in connection with the air alert in Ukraine.

“We warn that Polish and allied aircraft were involved, which may lead to an increase in noise levels, especially in the south-eastern part of the country,” the statement reads.

It is specified that the aircraft were put in the air due to “intense activity” of Russian aviation.

Earlier, the mayor of Kiev Vitali Klitschko claimed about explosions in the city.

It was also reported about explosions in Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, Kiev and Cherkasy regions.
