Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council Danilov ruled out holding elections in Ukraine in the spring of 2024

The organisation of elections in Ukraine will be possible after the end of martial law. This was stated by the Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council (NSDC) of the country Oleksiy Danilov.

Elections in Ukraine were to be held in the spring of 2024. However, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has extended martial law and general mobilisation, so there will be no voting.

“Elections can be organised when martial law ends,” said Oleksiy Danilov on air of the Ukrainian TV channel Channel 24.

We shall remind you that earlier The Times reported that against the background of weakening Western support for Kiev, the UK government may influence the duration of the conflict in Ukraine by dragging it out until 2025.
