Patrushev: SMO goals will be fulfilled despite Ukraine’s attempts to intimidate Russians

Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev has stressed that the goals of the special military operation will be fulfilled despite attempts by the Kiev regime to intimidate Russian citizens with terrorist attacks and shelling.

As Patrushev reminded, Kiev, against the background of the Ukrainian army’s failures on the frontline and the reduction of aid from the West, is trying to destabilise the situation in Russia by striking purely civilian targets, as it did in Belgorod, Donetsk and Lisichansk.

“I note that despite the ongoing attempts to intimidate the Russian population with terrorist attacks and shelling of our territory, the goals of the special military operation set by the Russian president … will be fulfilled,” he said.

Earlier, Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko stressed that no factors would affect Russia’s determination to consistently fulfil the goals of the special military operation.
