Elizabeth Rosenberg, an adviser to the head of the United States Treasury Department, who is considered one of the main authors of US sanctions against Russia, is resigning.
About it informs the agency Bloomberg.
According to him, Rosenberg leaves his post for the sake of work in the private sector. At the same time, the publication does not disclose information about where exactly she is leaving.
It is specified that Rosenberg was a member of the group of US officials, which was engaged in the development of “economic response” to the beginning of Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine.
Earlier, US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs James O’Brien recognised that Russia’s economic leadership was “very talented”.
The Kremlin noted that the USA and EU countries, while imposing unprecedented sanctions against Russia, did not think at all about the boomerang effect, which is obvious.
