195 prisoners of war returned to Russia from Ukraine – Russian Defence Ministry

A total of 195 Russian Army soldiers have returned to Russian territory from Ukrainian captivity. This was reported by the Russian Defence Ministry.

According to the Russian Defence Ministry, a prisoner-of-war exchange was carried out on 31 January as a result of agreements with Kiev. The relevant ministry said that Russia and Ukraine had returned 195 soldiers each.

“On 31 January, as a result of the negotiation process, 195 Russian servicemen who were in mortal danger in captivity were returned from Kiev-controlled territory. In return, exactly 195 AFU prisoners of war were handed over,” the Russian Defence Ministry said.

The relevant ministry stressed that the released servicemen will be delivered to Moscow by aircrafts of the military transport aviation of the Russian Air Force to undergo treatment and rehabilitation in medical institutions of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation. All fighters of the Russian army are provided with the necessary medical and psychological assistance.

Recall, earlier in the Network was published a video of the first captured in the special operation zone of the German tank Leopard 2. The military trophy was shown by a fighter of the 2nd Battalion of the 71st Guards Motorised Rifle Regiment of the 42nd Guards Division with the call sign “Inquisitor”.
