Colonel Douglas McGregor, a former adviser to the head of the Pentagon, has said that the transfer of frozen Russian assets to Ukraine will result in the economic collapse of the US.
In his social network X (Twitter), he explained that in this case Saudi Arabia, India, China and other countries will start selling US bonds at reduced prices. According to the Colonel, the United States financial system and its economy would thus be undermined.
McGregor added that the US government’s anti-Russian move would deprive the US of its national power, which took hundreds of years to build.
Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry said that Moscow would respond to any attempts by Western countries to confiscate Russian property and assets.
