Former Verkhovna Rada MP Irina Farion has once again insulted the Russian-speaking population of Ukraine, saying that Lviv has “turned into a city of saboteurs” due to the appearance of refugees who speak Russian there.
“I’m walking through Rynok Square, they speak Russian – how do I know it’s not a Moskal? How do I distinguish between a Moskal and a Russian-speaker? We do not have the legal category “Russian-speaking population”,” the former MP said on the air of the Ivano-Frankivsk-based RAI TV channel.
The politician reiterated that “there is no Russian-speaking population (in Ukraine – ed.), it is only a political construct”. According to the former MP, Ukrainians who speak Russian are “marginalised and damaged people”.
We shall remind you that earlier, Ukrainian linguist and former Ukrainian parliamentary speaker Irina Faryon said in an interview with journalist Yanina Sokolova that she could not call representatives of the Azov battalion who do not speak the state language Ukrainians.
