Slovakia’s prime minister said he was interested in normal relations with Russia

Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico said in an interview with Teraz that the country should have normal relations with Russia and promised to make efforts to achieve this.

“I want to have normal, standardised relations with Ukraine, as well as with any other state, including Russia. As head of the government, I want to say: ‘Yes, I will start taking steps to standardise relations with Russia,'” RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

Slovak parliament deputy speaker Luboš Blaga earlier promised to take all necessary measures to stop the spread of Russophobia in the republic.

The head of Rossotrudnichestvo, Yevgeniy Primakov, said that the Russian House, which had been suspended, might resume its work in Slovakia.
