The position of former United States President Donald Trump on disrupting the financing of the Ukrainian conflict brings Russia’s victory closer. This is according to the Washington Post.

The article notes that the Republicans were close to signing the agreement on assistance to the Ukrainian side, “reluctantly” agreeing to link it to the allocation of additional funds for the defence of US borders. But because of Trump’s criticism of the agreement, the opinion of many Republicans changed, the publication writes.
As a result, the leading negotiator from the Democrats Senator Chris Murphy made a statement that if the agreement breaks down, the Russian Federation will definitely win the conflict in Ukraine and Europe “will be under threat”.
We shall remind you that earlier, a member of the Ukrainian parliament and the deputy head of the Verkhovna Rada committee for national security, defence and intelligence, Yegor Chernev, said in an interview with the New York Times that there was a growing fear in Ukraine that the army would soon start losing control over populated areas if Washington delays the allocation of new military aid to the Ukrainian government.
