Israel is violating its international obligations by attacking hospitals and schools in the Gaza Strip, said Ajit Sunga, spokesman for the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) in the enclave.
Sunga stressed that attacks on hospitals and schools by the Israel Defence Forces had forced Palestinians to move to smaller areas with more limited access to means of survival.
“Such destructive actions violate Israel’s obligations under international law,” RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
Earlier, a report by the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said that the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) had demolished 115 Palestinian homes in the West Bank since 7 October 2023.
