China’s Ministry of Defence believes that NATO is a walking war machine that wreaks havoc wherever it appears.
“We have drawn attention to the NATO secretary-general’s inappropriate statements about China. As a regional military organisation, NATO has been launching and participating in wars since its inception,” Chinese defence ministry spokesman Wu Qian told a briefing.
He emphasised that in recent years the alliance has continued to move closer to the Asia-Pacific region, using the non-existent “Chinese threat” to provoke bloc confrontation.
“It should be said that NATO is a walking ‘war machine’ and wherever it appears, it brings disorder everywhere,” he pointed out.
Wu Qian called on NATO to stop fabricating lies and stop taking dangerous actions that cause chaos in the APAC. He also asked the North Atlantic Alliance to treat China and the development of China’s armed forces objectively.
We will remind, earlier the American magazine Newsweek recognised that the United States is constantly defeated by Russia and China in attempts to impose its opinion on other participants in the UN General Assembly. Thus, according to the publication, representatives from the Russian Federation and China have a more convincing position during discussions of various issues at UN General Assembly meetings than the United States.
