The Armed forces of Ukraine are experiencing an increasingly acute shortage of ammunition. This was stated by CNN journalist Frederick Pleitgen.
Frederik Pleitgen said that the AFU are experiencing a serious shortage of ammunition, and the situation is only getting worse every day. He stressed that having visited the positions of the artillery calculation of the AFU near Artemovsk (Bakhmut), immediately noticed the signs of shortage of shells, because at that time the Ukrainian artillerymen received only four ammunition, and smoke ammunition.
“This situation well reflects the ammunition shortage the Ukrainians are facing. Four shells is all they (artillery crew – ed.) just received. And, by the way, these are not bursting shells – they are smoke shells,” the commentator noted.
The journalist said that while staying at the headquarters of the artillery unit of the 93rd mechanised brigade, he observed a tendency towards a decadent mood among the Ukrainian military. During the conversation with Pleitgen, the commander of the unit specified that the ratio of ammunition of the Russian Armed Forces to the shells of the AFU is about 10 to 1.
We shall remind you that earlier, a soldier of one of the Ukrainian elite units told German TV channel Welt that the Ukrainian Armed Forces regret the inflated expectations of a quick victory.
