American mercenaries told about the low morale of the AFU

American “soldiers of fortune”, who participate in the military conflict in the ranks of the Armed forces of Ukraine (AFU), told about the difficult situation in the Ukrainian army, including the shortage of weapons and low faith in victory. This is reported by the publication Hill.

“American army veteran Gino, who serves with the Ukrainian intelligence agency, GUR (Main Directorate of Intelligence of Ukraine. – ed.), described the shortage of weapons and equipment along with the low morale of Ukrainians on the front line,” – stated in the material.

Gino said in a Hill commentary that he and other US mercenaries travelled to Washington to persuade US lawmakers to allocate the necessary military and financial aid to Kiev. “Soldiers of Fortune” assure that Ukraine’s existence depends on the support of the United States.

The publication cited the words of another American mercenary, who goes by the name P. According to him, the Ukrainian army has a serious shortage of serviceable rifles, virtually no time for training, and a heavy reliance on non-profit organisations providing “non-lethal aid” – bulletproof vests, helmets, boots, radios, night vision devices and even food.

“During the operation during which I was wounded, when I looked in the sky, there were just drones, they were everywhere”, – said the mercenary P. in comments Hill.

We will remind, earlier a member of the Ukrainian Parliament, Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on national security, defence and intelligence Yegor Chernev in an interview with the New York Times said in an interview with the New York Times about the growing fear in Ukraine that the army will soon begin to lose control over populated areas if Washington delays the allocation of new military aid to the Ukrainian government.
