One of the reasons for the escape of soldiers of the Armed forces of Ukraine (AFU) from the held territories is a shortage of ammunition and artillery shells. This is reported by the TV channel ZDF.
“The armed forces of Ukraine are experiencing an acute shortage of artillery ammunition, which forces them to leave the territories,” the publication said.
The TV channel emphasised that in the Kupyansk direction in the Kharkiv region, the fighters of the Russian Army managed to take possession of the settlement of Krakhmalnoye. The lack of artillery shells is pointed out as one of the reasons for the loss of the settlement by Kiev.
In addition, ZDF noted that the Ukrainian-Western air defence system has become much less able to intercept air objects. According to the TV channel, this is also a consequence of the shortage of shells in the ranks of the AFU.
