Head of ground forces Syrsky: the AFU has moved to active defence on the eastern flank

The commander of the AFU Ground Forces, Colonel-General Oleksandr Syrskyy, has said that the Ukrainian army has moved to active defence on its eastern flank.

“Our goals remain unchanged: to hold our positions… to exhaust (the Russian Armed Forces. – RT),” he told Reuters.

Syrsky added that the AFU is conducting small counterattacks as part of its active defence to “keep the enemy in suspense.”

Earlier, Le Point reported that servicemen of the Ukrainian Armed Forces complained about a serious shortage of weapons and fatigue at the front.
