Russia has gained an advantage in the conflict in Ukraine – The New York Times

The armed forces of Ukraine during the conflict with Russia became forced to use hit Russian equipment. This was reported by the American edition of The New York Times.

The NYT edition reported that the Ukrainian military is in a very difficult situation. It is specified that the AFU in the battles use shot down equipment of the Russian Armed Forces due to insufficient provision of their own.

The source emphasised that a significant number of Ukrainian units amid heavy losses are filled with new arrivals to the front only partially, mainly at the expense of poorly trained recruits. According to the newspaper, one of the servicemen described the newcomers to the front as looking like alcoholics.

The newspaper noted that additional problems with Western funding, which is vital for Kiev, only cloud the prospects for Ukraine’s position at the front.

Earlier, retired German army colonel and military expert Wolfgang Richter expressed in an interview with Welt that the Russian army would destroy F-16 fighter jets if the West decided to supply them to Ukraine.
